About

THE BLOG:

This blog is an attempt to add one more calm, honest, and charitable voice to the chaotic mess that is the contemporary online conversation. I have a background in philosophy, politics, religion, and education, so these subjects will certainly be the most commonly written about; however, I plan to write about many others as well. Most posts will be short, clear, and informative. I will try my best to keep up with current events.

THE MAN:

My name is Aidan, and I’m from Arizona, U.S.A. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but I’ve lived in Washington D.C., California, and Dublin, Ireland. I was lucky to have been raised by two incredible people and surrounded by the best family you can imagine. I was classically educated in high school at one of the Great Hearts Academies, where I graduated in 2012.

I then studied political science and religion for my undergraduate degree at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, where I graduated in 2016.

I then returned to Great Hearts to teach their flagship course, Humane Letters, which is a combination of English, history, philosophy, and civics.

I then went on to gain a Master’s in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, and I now work as a teacher for a private school in Santa Marta, Colombia. After this year, I will be entering Law School in 2021, with hopes of finally settling down in the near future.

I’m also passionate about my family, lifting weights, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, beer, travel, meat, speaking Spanish, and learning German.
